Dear Parent/ Guardian,
Please see below form Clare County Council:
Clare County Council will be carrying out safety improvement works to upgrade the existing zebra crossing at Shantraud, Killaloe, to a new raised Puffin crossing. Works are scheduled to commence on Monday, 5 October and are expected to continue until the end of November. During this period, the existing crossing and pedestrian route from Millstream Estate to Shantraud will be closed for safety reasons. Heras safety fencing will be in place and access through the work area will not be permitted.
Students and pedestrians are requested not to use the route through Millstream Estate while these works are ongoing.
Please use the alternative pedestrian route via:
- Abbey Street
- Royal Parade
- St. Anne's School
We appreciate your cooperation and patience while these important safety improvements are being completed. The upgraded crossing will provide a safer crossing facility for schoolchildren and the wider community. Thank you for your understanding.
